MONTPELIER — More than two weeks after a state assessment of government information technology was scheduled for completion, none of the 75-plus deliverables are available. Vermonters interested in the results of the $499,000 report from TPI, a Stamford, Conn.-based corporation, will have to wait. David Tucker, the commissioner of the Department of Information and Innovation, would not specify when the report will be made available.

โ€œIt is not unusual for there to be minor date changes, and it is acceptable project management practice to allow for those, provided the overall final project due date doesnโ€™t slip. We have no reason to think that it might,” Tucker said in November. More than two-thirds of the deliverables due by then were late at the time.

In an e-mail yesterday (Jan. 5) Tucker reports “a member of the steering committee asked a question yesterday about the way certain data is presented in the report. As soon as we either resolve it as a non-issue or make a modification, Iโ€™ll send you a copy.”

When the report becomes available, Vtdigger.org will post it.
