Advertising for Racial Equity

About the project

As a way to strengthen local economies, and recognizing that BIPOC-owned businesses and organizations often face systemic barriers, VTDigger offers Advertising for Racial Equity.

Advertising for Racial Equity is a pool of online advertising inventory that VTDigger earmarks for businesses and organizations primarily led by or serving Black people, Indigenous people and people of color (BIPOC) in Vermont.

Through grants of $2,000 in digital advertising, we seek to provide BIPOC businesses and organizations accessibility and visibility to our statewide audience.

How it works

Each year, VTDigger will provide up to 10% of its total advertising revenue to BIPOC-owned businesses and organizations whose primary purpose is to serve people of color in Vermont.

Participants will receive digital ad space on VTDigger’s website or newsletters to advance their unique marketing goals, such as driving traffic to a website, growing an email newsletter list or promoting an event.
