Tour bus companies say that groups have canceled nearly all tours for 2020.

The delay until mid-October will allow tourists to view the gorge from both sides of the bridge. Traffic will be one lane during construction.
There have been four deaths at the gorge since January, including one Wednesday.
A law passed in May instructed the Agency of Transportation to take steps to prevent suicides at Quechee Gorge by July 1. That hasn’t happened.
Rep. Teo Zagar began pressing for suicide prevention measures at the bridge after he was contacted by the family of 21-year-old Derek Cooper, who jumped from the bridge in 2011.
