Issues in depth

What would you do to help grow Vermont’s economy?

Control and reduce spending, reduce the tax burden, reduce the complexity and heavy weight of over regulation, make establishing and running a business enterprise in VT much simpler and easier.

What changes, if any, would you make to the way Vermont funds its schools?

We need to look at the entire formula and process for appraising costs and raising revenue and assigning assessments locally.

Is Vermont doing enough, too much or not enough to address climate change? Please explain.

Our efforts are burdensome and ineffective causing complexity for businesses and and homeowners. We have way over thought this subject and now have unelected self interested parties making decisions affecting quality of life in Vermont for decades to come.

Is Vermont doing enough, too much or not enough to regulate gun ownership? Please explain.

We are doing too much.

What would you do to help ease Vermont’s housing crisis?

Unshackle human ingenuity via regulation reduction. Well meaning intereference in housing markets has unintended but heavy burdens for builders and owners.

How would you address rising homelessness in Vermont?

In general what someone feeds will grow. We need to be careful that we do not inadvertently subsidize homelessness to the extent we attract the homeless to come here and encourage it.

What would you do to increase access to health care services for Vermonters?

Reduce government mandates to allow providers to offer a variety of programs to meet individual, family and business needs.
