The Vermont Retail and Grocers Association will share a survey with business owners on behalf of Kavet, Rockler, & Associates, the state economist, to better understand the fiscal status of the state of Vermont during Covid-19. The results of this survey will be used to assess the current impact of the pandemic on businesses and inform public policy.
“Accurate and recent data from local businesses is crucial for understanding the complex and rapidly changing economic landscape that has followed the spread of Covid-19,” VRGA President Erin Sigrist said. “It’s also crucial in providing aid in accordance with need, and planning for next year and beyond.”
The VRGA is asking all local business owners and retailers in the state to fill out this survey, which should take no more than five minutes. All information collected will be kept confidential and compiled into an anonymous dataset for the privacy of participants. The VRGA is also working closely with the office of Governor Scott and the Agency of Commerce and Community Development to safely reopen retail in Vermont. A variety of resources for responding to Covid-19 and preparing for reopening can be found on the association’s Coronavirus Resource Page.
