Denny Degreenia, 45, died on Sunday evening after he was ejected from a snowcat on Burke Mountain, according to Vermont State Police.
Degreenia was driving a 1986 LMC 1500 utility vehicle checking snow guns on the mountain when the snowcat rolled over, police said. Degreenia was ejected from the vehicle. Neither Degreenia nor his passenger, Clifford Savage, 27, were wearing seat belts.
A witness performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation on Degreenia, but his injuries were fatal and he was declared dead on the scene by first responders. Savage suffered minor injuries, was treated at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital and was released, according to police.
