SOUTH BURLINGTON โ€“ Protesters surrounded a house on Dorset Street in South Burlington on Wednesday, trying to block agents from the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement from apprehending a person inside. About 150 demonstrators gathered at the scene near University Mall, forming a human chain surrounding the single-family home.

The demonstrators put up a makeshift tent in front of the house where they were providing masks and food. Some were also singing and chanting, โ€œICE out,โ€ and modified versions of โ€œWe Shall Overcomeโ€ with the words โ€œWeโ€™ll abolish ICE.โ€

Two people wearing tactical vests labeled "POLICE ICE" and "ERS" stand outdoors, one wearing a mask and hat, as another person gestures with a smartphone nearby.
