Gloria Ann Good died on Feb. 12, 2026, in Land O’ Lakes, Florida. She was born in Burlington, Vermont on July 7, 1936, to Gertrude Goyette Boiselle and Clyde Stevens Boiselle. Gloria graduated from Cathedral High School and Johnson State Teachers College. She met her future husband, Stephen Doyle Good, while she was working as a waitress at the Burlington area A&W Root Beer Stand to earn spending money for college.
Johnson State Teachers College sophomore Stephen had a summer job with the Vermont State Highway Department. It was love at first sight when Stephen pulled into the A&W and spotted beautiful Gloria. He was there to meet freshman Gloria on her first day of college. They were happily married for 54 years until Stephen’s passing in 2011.
Gloria worked as a substitute teacher in the Burlington area, while she was raising her three children. She moved with Stephen to Huntington, New York, in 1969 and enjoyed a career as a real estate agent there. She and Stephen became snowbirds returning to Vermont in 1995 to retire in Shelburne and winter in Land O’ Lakes, Florida.
Gloria was a hardworking, devoted mother and grandmother. She loved to read, decorate her home, shop, entertain, and spend time with family and friends. She was blessed to maintain many lifelong friendships. She also belonged to a number of social clubs including the Shelburne Garden Club, the Newcomers Club, the Land O’ Lakes Red Hat Society, and bible study groups. She served for many years as a volunteer at the University of Vermont Medical Center visitor desk.
Gloria is survived by her children Stephanie Webler (Donald), Gregory Good (Cynthia), three grandchildren James Webler, Ryan Good (Andrea), Brendan Good and one great grandchild Amelia Good, her sister Sister Mary Boiselle RSM, and many dear in laws, cousins, nieces and nephews. Gloria was predeceased by her husband, Stephen, her son, Robert Good, and her brother, John Boiselle.
The family would like to thank the Keystone at Terra Bella Assisted Living Facility and the Right at Home staff for the excellent care and many kindnesses provided to Gloria toward the end of her life.
