WILLISTON โ€” Braving below-freezing temperatures and a stiff breeze, about 300 people protested outside a U.S. Immigration Customs and Enforcement facility here Tuesday evening. Chanting demonstrators blocked traffic before gathering in front of the ICE building to demand an end to the federal agencyโ€™s presence in Vermont.

Speakers repeatedly condemned ICEโ€™s immigration raids across the country, particularly the recent killing of Renee Good in Minnesota. After hearing calls to participate in a general strike this Friday, protesters marched along Harvest Lane.
