VTDigger will host a community conversation with its new editor-in-chief, Geeta Anand, on Tuesday, Nov. 11, from 5-7 p.m. at the Manchester Community Library. The event, moderated by David Goodman of The Vermont Conversation, is free and open to the public.

Registration is required and seating is limited. RSVP today to save your seats.

Anand is a Pulitzer Prize–winning journalist with nearly three decades of experience in investigative and public service reporting. She began her career in southern Vermont at The Rutland Herald, where her reporting on credit reporting errors spurred congressional action. She later served as a foreign correspondent for The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times, reporting from India on global health, politics and human rights. Most recently as dean of the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism, she mentored the next generation of reporters while advocating for a strong, independent press. Anand is also the author of “The Cure,” the basis for the film “Extraordinary Measures” starring Harrison Ford.

Now back in Vermont, Anand is leading VTDigger into its next chapter — strengthening local reporting, expanding access to reliable information and deepening coverage of the issues that shape our communities.
