VTDigger’s 2024 Primary Election Guide now includes voter resources in 14 languages in printer-friendly, accessible digital formats.
Our “How to vote” guide provides essential information about how to register to vote and take part in the Aug. 13 primary election. Our “Who does what” guide breaks down the main responsibilities of each of the state offices on the ballot this year.
These resources have been translated into some of the most commonly spoken languages in Vermont. See below for the full list of languages and links.
How to vote in the 2024 primary election
VTDigger is working with community partners across the state to help distribute these materials ahead of this fall’s general election. Readers are also encouraged to share these resources and post them publicly.
Displaying multiple languages? We’ve made two flyers — one for “How to vote” and another for “Who does what” — to show people which languages are available.
VTDigger first offered translated election resources during the 2022 election cycle, with support from the American Press Institute. This year, with additional support from API, VTDigger added two additional languages, Pashto and Dari, to reach members of Vermont’s burgeoning Afghan community, and created the new “Who does what” explainer.
VTDigger’s 2024 Primary Election Guide also includes candidate profiles, a database of campaign finance information for statewide candidates, Senate and House district-lookup tools, help finding your polling place, a roundup of VTDigger’s latest 2024 election coverage and more.
Correction: An earlier version of this story used incorrect Chinese language characters.
