A service will be held for Jeff and his wife, Patti, at 10 a.m. on May 11, 2024, at All Saints Episcopal Church in Wolfeboro, NH, followed by a reception at the Inn on Main Street.


Jeffery Carl Dickson, 79, passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2024, surrounded by his family at his home after a six-month battle with esophageal cancer. Born in Cleveland, OH, he had a talent for music early in life. He majored in journalism at Ohio University and graduated in 1967. His combined passion for journalism and skiing brought him to Vermont in 1975. He made a home for himself in the town of Jamaica, where he served as a volunteer firefighter for more than 20 years. Jeff spent his summers sailing on Lake Champlain and his winters skiing black diamond trails throughout Vermont and New Hampshire.

Jeff was preceded in death by his wife, Patti Dickson (née Sawyer), and his brother, Richard Dickson. He is survived by his former wife, Carol Fritz; his daughters, Anna and Sarah Dickson; his brother, Scott Dickson; and his sister, Sue Schniegenberg.
