All three puppies have been found. Vermont State Police announced that the third and final puppy, reportedly stolen from a home in Coventry on July 25, was located on Thursday.
Coventry residents Daniel Rich, 48, and Jennifer Rhodes, 52, initially notified police about the theft of the 6-week-old puppies — described by police as German shepherd/coonhound mixed breed — from an outdoor enclosure on July 25, police said.
Two of the puppies were located on Monday at a property on Route 105 in Newport Center with the third located on Thursday, according to state police.
In a press release issued Thursday night, police stated, “the third puppy was accounted for and is no longer considered missing or stolen.” The release contained no additional details.
Tamieka Demo, 20, of Newport Center was charged with larceny in connection to the theft, police said. She is to appear in court on Sept. 20.
Rich and Rhodes could not be reached for comment.
