Two people were injured in unrelated shootings Saturday night in Washington County. One of the suspects is in custody, according to Vermont State Police.
The first shooting was reported at a Dog Pond Road house in Woodbury at 10:05 p.m. A man shot an acquaintance in the leg after a dispute among a group of people who knew each other, police said in an initial press release.

On Sunday night, police said the victim, Andrew Brown, 35, of Lyndonville, was being treated for serious injuries at the University of Vermont Medical Center.
The man who fired the gun was detained at the house until state troopers arrived. Brian McAndrew, 38, of Woodbury is in custody and charged with attempted second-degree murder and first-degree aggravated domestic assault, according to police.
Initial investigation indicates that Brown went to the Dog Pond Road house to pick up a household member who had been threatened with a gun by McAndrew earlier in the day. Police said the Brown was shot by McAndrew when he walked up to the front door. McAndrew was subdued by a witness until police arrived. No one else was injured, police said in a subsequent press release.
Brown was taken to Central Vermont Medical Center and then transferred to the University of Vermont Medical Center with serious injuries.
McAndrew is being held without bail at the Northeast Regional Correctional Facility in St. Johnsbury. He is scheduled to appear in Washington County Superior Court in Barre Monday at 12:30 p.m.
The second shooting occurred at about 10:45 p.m. behind the Gulf gas station at 1 North Main St. in Waterbury.
Police said three people were in a parked car when three others approached on foot. One of them struck the driver on his head with a gun and then shot him in the upper torso. Described as three white men the suspects then fled, according to an update Sunday. The other two people in the car were not hurt.
Police identified the victim as James Eggleston, 20, of Hudson Falls, New York. He was treated for a gunshot wound at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington and subsequently discharged, police said.
Initial investigation indicates the shooting was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public. The two shootings are not related, police said.
