Vermont State Police are searching for a man who allegedly sexually assaulted several children over multiple years.
An arrest warrant has been issued for 52-year-old Carl Sanborn of Barnet on charges of repeated sexual assault of a child and lewd and lascivious conduct with a child. Police said there are currently four known victims between ages 4 and 15.
According to a state police press release, the investigation began earlier this month after the victims provided information to the Vermont Department for Children and Families and state police.
State police have tried multiple times to find Sanborn and “it is believed he is actively avoiding those attempts,” said the press release.
Anybody with information about Sanborn’s whereabouts is asked to call Vermont State Police at the St. Johnsbury Barracks at 802-748-3111.
