A Richford man died Friday after he was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash in Swanton four days earlier.
Vermont State Police said Nathan Tatro, 32, was driving a motorcycle on Route 78 around 3 p.m. on June 6 when he hit the back of a box truck that was preparing to turn left.
The crash happened near the intersection with Jonergin Drive.
Tatro was thrown off the motorcycle into the road, according to a state police press release, and it appears he was hit by a dump truck driving in the opposite lane.
In an update to the press release Sunday, police said “the motorcycle operator involved in this crash has died from his injuries he sustained.”
Police said they do not believe any of the drivers involved in the crash were impaired.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing, officials said.
