Vermont reported 57 new Covid-19 cases, 25 hospitalizations and no additional deaths Monday.

Combined with 131 cases on Saturday and 95 on Sunday, the state’s seven-day average for new infections is 148, down from 157 on Friday, according to the Vermont Department of Health dashboard.

Vermont’s seven-day average test positivity rate was 4.2% Monday, down from 4.6% on Friday. (The test positivity rate includes only PCR tests, not at-home antigen tests.)

The health department reported that 25 people were hospitalized with Covid as of Monday, up from 22 on Sunday. That includes three people in intensive care, up from one on Sunday.

The state reported no additional Covid deaths on Monday. March’s death total is three so far, compared to 58 deaths in February. In total, 607 people have died from Covid in Vermont since the beginning of the pandemic.
