Vermont State Police say they’re investigating the suspicious disappearance of a 22-year-old New Hampshire woman who was last seen on Saturday in Bolton.

Emily Ferlazzo’s family reported she was missing on Monday at about 7:15 p.m., state police said, starting an investigation that has expanded from the Bolton area to include locations in Enosburg and St. Albans.

“There are concerns for Mrs. Ferlazzo’s welfare,” a police press release stated on Tuesday.

According to police, Ferlazzo’s husband, Joseph, told her family the couple argued while traveling in their camper van on the Bolton Valley Access Road Saturday at about 1 p.m. The couple had been staying at a vacation rental in Bolton, he said.

Joseph Ferlazzo, 41, said Emily Ferlazzo left the vehicle and started walking along Route 2, at which point he went to a convenience store in Bolton, according to police.

When Joseph Ferlazzo returned to where he had last seen Emily Ferlazzo, she was gone, he told her family.

On Tuesday afternoon, state police said they located Joseph Ferlazzo at a convenience store in St. Albans and he agreed to accompany troopers to the barracks.

The couple’s dog, a mixed breed named Remington, which had previously been reported missing as well, was also located unharmed at a house belonging to a friend of Joseph Ferlazzo, police said.

Police are working to determine when Emily Ferlazzo was last seen by someone other than her husband, they said.

Emily Ferlazzo is described as a white woman who is 5 feet tall and weighs 125 pounds. She has blue eyes and blonde hair and was last seen wearing white sneakers, ripped blue jeans and a long-sleeve black shirt, police said.

State police are coordinating with the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department, Franklin County State’s Attorney’s Office and police in New Hampshire on the investigation.

Anyone with information on Emily Ferlazzo’s whereabouts, or any other information that could help the investigation, is asked to call state police at 802-524-5993.
