Burlington detectives are investigating a second shootout from this weekend, one that sprayed a Lake Street apartment building with bullet holes early Sunday, according to a press release.
At 3:56 a.m., Burlington Police responded to multiple 911 calls about potential gunshots or fireworks at the Andy A_Dog Williams skate park on Lake Street. Officers did not find any evidence of gunfire or witnesses there, according to the release.
Hours later, at about 4:18 p.m., police got a call about bullet holes at the apartment building at 300 Lake St. Officers found multiple bullet holes, recovered a bullet fragment from an apartment and found multiple shell casings in the parking lot of the skate park, according to the release.
Police believe the people who were in the vicinity of this incident are associated with the people involved in an early Saturday shootout at South Winooski Avenue and Bank Street, police said.
Those with information about this incident should contact the Burlington Police Department at 802-658-2704.
