The Department of Health reported 78 new cases of the coronavirus and no new deaths on Thursday. Total cases in Vermont since the beginning of the pandemic now number 22,325, and total deaths remain 243.

New cases were reported Thursday in 12 of Vermont’s 14 counties.

  • Washington: 5

As of Thursday, 26 people were hospitalized with confirmed cases of Covid-19. Three of those people were in intensive care.

The state reported that 1,510,500 tests have been administered for the illness in Vermont since the start of the pandemic. As of Thursday, 374,275 individual people had been tested. The seven-day average test positivity rate was 1.5%.

Eligible Vermonters can register for vaccine appointments at healthvermont.gov/MyVaccine. All Vermonters 16 and older are currently eligible.
