Today, we are within striking distance of our Spring Drive goal of 3,000 member contributions and sending brand new books to 3,000 Vermont children for summer reading.
We have only 10 days and 1,000 members left to go โ will you join us today?
Your gift will support VTDiggerโs rigorous journalism and send one new childrenโs book to a Vermont child at risk of growing up with low literacy skills.
According to the Children’s Literacy Foundation, this year summer reading is more important than ever before due to Covidโs impact on young students.
VTDigger is a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing our readers fearless daily and investigative reporting year round. Our newsroom has been covering all aspects of the Covid-19 pandemic tirelessly, but we rely on member support to stay afloat.
Help us meet our budgetary needs and our goal of sending books to 3,000 children by April 30. There are only 10 days left. Will you get us to the finish line?
We will send one book for each member donation we receive through our partnership with the Childrenโs Literacy Foundation. Thank you for your readership and we hope you value our public service journalism.
With gratitude,
Anne Galloway

P.S. Tomorrow afternoon, VTDigger is hosting a kids story hour and draw-along with Caldecott award-winning Vermont author Jason Chin. RSVP here to celebrate Earth Day and the power of knowledge with us.
