Lake Champlain Chocolates in Burlington is recalling several of its products from around the country after brittle plastic pieces were found inside.

The high-end chocolate company, which ships its products around the country, announced the details of the recall, including a list of the affected products, on social media and on its website.

It covers chocolates that have been on the market since July.

The company said no consumers had reported any harm from the contamination.

Lake Champlain Chocolates was founded by restaurateur Jim Lampman in 1980.  The company in 2018 moved its manufacturing facility to Williston. It has two stores in Burlington and another in Waterbury.
