Dear Readers,

On Monday, the first doses of the Pfizer/BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine arrived in Vermont marking an important milestone in the struggle against the pandemic. State officials lauded the vaccineโ€™s arrival.

“This is a pivotal moment, one that marks the beginning of the end of the pandemic,” said Health Commissioner Mark Levine. But he cautioned that it will take months to bring the pandemic under control and vigilance is critical to saving lives.

VTDigger will be there with you as always, following the distribution of the vaccine throughout the state and its impact during this next phase of the pandemic.
