Mass testing of staff and inmates at the state’s only women’s prison following a positive Covid-19 result among a staff member earlier this week has yielded no new positive results.
The testing Thursday at the Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility in South Burlington showed no positive cases among the 198 staff and inmates tested at the prison, the corrections department stated in a release Friday afternoon.
The mass testing was ordered following a staff member positive testing positive Monday.
