The Department of Health reported 33 new cases of the coronavirus on Monday, bringing the total cases confirmed in Vermont since the beginning of the pandemic to 1,817. Twenty-six of those cases are in Addison County, four in Chittenden County, and one each in Bennington, Windsor and Franklin counties.

There is one person in the state reported to be in the hospital with a confirmed case of the virus; no one is hospitalized with a suspected case. To date, 58 people have died with the illness, the last reported on July 28. 

As of Monday, the state reported that 167,506 tests have been administered for the illness in Vermont since mid-March, an increase of 986 from Sunday.
