Dear Reader,
It is hard to believe how much has changed in the past two months as Vermont, the nation and the world was forever altered as a result of the pandemic that has torn through our lives and communities. At VTDigger we find ourselves facing the same Covid-19 uncertainties that have impacted everyone in the state, and we are forging a way forward while safeguarding our staff and continuing to inform you.
Last month, we launched a fundraising campaign in partnership with Vermont Glove. For each donation we received we donated a mask. Many thanks to our friends at Vermont Glove and their team for sewing the cloth masks and partnering with us to make this all possible. Together, with your generous support, we were able to donate 3,000 masks in 30 days to help health care workers.
None of this would have been possible without the very generous support of our readers, the Vermont Journalism Trust board and major donors who contributed to the mask challenge throughout the fund drive.
We are so grateful for your ongoing support. Thanks to you, VTDigger will continue to be here for you day in and day out, bringing you the news you need and deserve. We are humbled by your support and your many kind messages of encouragement in this most difficult time.
