Planned Parenthood of Northern New England (PPNE) announced Tuesday the launch of a new telehealth program in Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine, which allows patients to access its health care services by phone or through a private and secure videoconferencing platform.
Through telehealth, providers can answer patient questions, manage prescriptions, and help patients address their sexual and reproductive health care needs remotely. PPNE is still offering in-person visits when necessary.
โAs a critical component of Northern New Englandโs health care safety net, we continue to serve all who need us for STI screening and treatment, birth control, abortion care and more,โ PPNE President and CEO Meagan Gallagher said.
PPNNEโs 12 health centers in Vermont offer a wide range of sexual and reproductive health care services to more than 19,000 patients annually.
