Dear Reader,

Last week, the governorโ€™s office requested that all Vermonters wear non-medical grade masks in public — regardless of whether they feel sick or not. And Vermont has yet to reach the peak number of coronavirus cases, which means the need for medical and cloth masks is still growing for local hospitals.

After we delivered 1,000 masks to four Vermont hospitals last week, we received requests from other hospitals and pleas to expedite shipments.

Northwestern Medical Center and North Country Hospital became new partner hospitals that will receive cloth masks from our friends at Vermont Glove as soon as we hear from you

These masks are not free to produce or procure. When you become a VTDigger member you are helping us cover the cost so they are free to hospitals.

Our goal is to give away a total of 3,000 masks. So far, we’ve delivered 1,000. We need your help to send 2,000 more masks to area hospitals as quickly as we can.

Become a member at any level today, and VTDigger and Vermont Glove will send a mask on your behalf to a hospital in need.

Special thanks to our partner for producing these cloth masks

With gratitude,

VTDigger's founder and editor-at-large.
