Dear Readers,

A week after we launched our campaign to donate 3,000 masks to local hospitals, we have already sent 1,000 masks to health workers, thanks to VTDigger members.

We are working with Vermont Glove to get these masks to area hospitals as quickly as we can โ€“ as soon as they’re produced.

We need your help to send 2,000 more to area hospitals for health workers providing non-Covid medical care and to help protect N95 masks for reuse.

Vermont Glove is keeping their employees on payroll by switching to producing much-needed cloth masks from their homes. Like our journalism, these masks are not free to produce.

VTDigger and Vermont Glove are donating one cloth mask for every new member who gives between now and April 30th. And we are delivering the masks as soon as possible — before the Covid crisis reaches peak.

You can help by making a membership contribution today.

Masks will be distributed to our partner hospitals including Central Vermont Medical Center, North Country Hospital, Rutland Regional Medical Center, Southwestern Vermont Health Care, Gifford Medical Center, Brattleboro Memorial Hospital and Mt. Ascutney Hospital.

Can you help VTDigger and Vermont Glove get 3,000 donated masks into the hands of hospitals across the state?

With gratitude,

Anne Galloway
