Vermont State Police are investigating the apparent homicide of a 45-year-old man in Bolton.

Troopers found the manโ€™s body inside a residence in the base area at Bolton Mountain Resort after receiving a call shortly after 7 a.m. Saturday about a deceased individual.

A woman, who also lives at the residence, was there unharmed, according to police. Maj. Dan Trudeau said the woman, who he said is around 30, made the call to authorities.

Police have not yet released the name of the deceased man or the woman. Authorities expect to release more information as the investigation progresses, Trudeau said.

Both the man and woman are Vermont residents. Trudeau said, based on his understanding, both were employed by Bolton Valley Resort.

The police do not currently have any suspects in the case. Police are questioning the woman, Trudeau said.

An autopsy is expected to be carried out by the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office.

Trudeau described the situation as an โ€œisolated incidentโ€ and said there is no threat to the public.
