[B]URLINGTON — City police are looking for a man who allegedly violently assaulted two female employees at Simon’s Downtown Quick Stop on South Winooski Avenue Monday morning.

Police say they responded to a report of an armed robbery at the store at 8:43 a.m. Monday morning. The suspect fled the store with an unknown amount of money after threatening the employees with a weapon, which was not displayed.

Both employees suffered non-life threatening injuries and were treated at the University of Vermont Medical Center.

Police urge anyone with information or the identity of the man to call detective Jamie Morris at 802 540 2254.
