Sanders raised $ 18 million since announcement
Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders’ campaign announced this week more than 900,000 individual donors contributed $18.2 million in the 41 days since he announced his presidential run. Sanders, however, fell short of the goal of reaching one million individual donations.
Health care spending reaches $6 billion
Total spending on Vermonters’ health care surpassed the $6 billion mark in 2017 while the growth rate has slowed, according to a new report by the Green Mountain Care Board.
Vermont tops gender equality state ranking
For the third time, the state ranked first in Bloomberg’s ranking for gender equality. Experts, however, want to see more progress. Vermont also ranked sixth in female leadership.
