Former Jay Peak owner Bill Stenger said he had known Charron for more than 30 years.

Since 1980, Charron owned Jasmine Lindsay International, a wholesale distributor of leather and synthetic leather for footwear, garments and upholstery. He also owned a company that manufactured leather dog beds.
He was also co-founder and chairman of Andy Collins for Kids, a charitable organization that raises money for the Montreal Children’s Hospital.
