Writers for Recoveryย is a series of writing workshops focused on stories of addiction and recovery. Participants write about their personal stories of struggle, perseverance, moments of doubt and inspiration and the slow but steady work of renewal and healing from addiction.
Maura Quinn came to sobriety at 54, when she beganย aย journey to reset her soul. Quinn spent 25 years behind the scenes in television news. Her motherโs death, the loss of four beloved pets, andย a layoffย sent her in search of natural beauty in Vermont. Working through recovery with her fellow writers unearthed a path to liberation from inebriation.
On this week’s podcast, Maura reads her original poem, “Craving.”
