Michael KrasinThree Massachusetts men are facing charges in connection with a major drug bust at a Berlin hotel.
Vermont State Police arrested Michael Krasin, 19, Augustin Mendoza, 25, and Victor Hernandez-Guzman, 30, on Tuesday.
Augustin MendozaMembers of the state’s drug task force were monitoring the Econo Lodge in Montpelier because of suspicions of drug trafficking, and they saw the three men assault a person in the parking lot, according to a press release from the state police.
The three men fled in a car, and troopers later stopped them in Williamstown and arrested them in connection with the assault.
Victor Hernandez-GuzmanPolice then searched a hotel room the three had rented at the Hilltop Inn in Berlin amid suspicions of drug trafficking. Police say they found 650 bags of heroin, 28 grams of crack cocaine, 44 grams of cocaine and prescription drugs, in addition to a large amount of cash.
The three men pleaded not guilty Wednesday in Washington Superior Court, according to State’s Attorney Scott Williams.
