[C]OLCHESTER — A local woman was killed Sunday night when a car was struck by an Amtrak train at the Depot Road rail crossing, according to police.
Erin Allen, 32, of Colchester, died after police said the 2008 Kia Rio crossed in front of a northbound passenger train and was pushed close to 150 feet down the tracks.
Police were notified of the crash just before 8:30 p.m. No passengers were injured. All five passengers were taken by car to their destination in St. Albans.
Colchester Police say their investigation into Allen’s death is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to call 802-254-5555.
