[I]nterested in where the gubernatorial candidates stand on women’s issues?

A live forum took place on Thursday at the Statehouse from noon to 1:30 p.m. featuring a discussion with Liberty Union candidate Bill “Spaceman” Lee, Democrat Sue Minter and Republican Phil Scott.

The event was sponsored by the Vermont Commission on Women, the League of Women Voters of Vermont, and Vermont Federation of Business and Professional Women.

Anne Galloway of VTDigger.org, an independent state news organization, moderated.

The forum questions were drawn from the public, organizations serving women and girls in Vermont, and experts in fields such as child care, pay equity, and health care. In addition to prepared questions, there was time for audience question submissions.

Live video streaming of the forum will be available through ORCA Media and via the event’s Facebook page, and live audio streaming via Vermont Public Radio’s Vermont House stream.
