More than 200 people turned out for a forum Wednesday evening where experts discussed Vermont’s epidemic of opiate abuse.

Dartmouth-Hitchcock sponsored the VTDigger Dialogue held in White River Junction.
Five panel members discussed a range of issues, including the roots of addiction and today’s most effective treatments.
They included: Dartmouth-Hitchcock clinician Dr. Mark McGovern, filmmaker Bess O’Brien, Annie Ramniceanu, the Vermont director of pretrial services, Renee Davis of the Clara Martin Center, and Sarah Laros, a recovering addict. Read more about the panelists here.
Blue Cross/Blue Shield was also a supporting sponsor. This video is courtesy of CATV8.
