[P]olice in Colchester obtained an arrest warrant Tuesday for Patrick J. Bombard, 29, of Williston, for attempted 2nd degree murder. The Chittenden County State’s Attorney’s office is working with the Colchester Police Department.
On Monday, Bombard allegedly shot a 36-year-old male twice at an apartment on 106 College Parkway in Colchester. The two men had engaged in an altercation beforehand, according to an initial investigation. Three bullet casings were removed from the scene, police said. A 27-year-old female at the apartment at the time was not injured.
Bombard is still at large and is considered to be armed and dangerous. Police have been informed that Bombard’s behavior has been increasingly erratic over the past six months.
The victim is in stable condition at UVM Medical Center in Burlington.
