
Following months of constant campaigning, Bernie Sanders has managed to catch up to Hillary Clinton in Iowa. The race is now neck and neck and Sanders’ supporters here are seen as more passionate than the Clinton crowd.
The most recent polling out of the Hawkeye State, released by CNN on Thursday, puts Sanders ahead by eight points, 51 percent to 43 percent.
“The people of Iowa showed extraordinary courage in 2008 by voting for Barack Obama over Hillary Clinton, and many Iowans now understand that it’s too late for her brand of establishment politics and establishment economics,” Sanders spokesman Michael Briggs said in a statement reacting to the poll Thursday.
