[T]hree relatives of Jody Herring died of gunshot wounds, according to death certificates released Wednesday.
Herring, who is accused of killing Lara Sobel, a state social worker, is the only person of interest in the alleged triple homicide of her two cousins and an aunt, according to the Attorney Generalโs Office.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has determined that Rhonda Jean Herring, 48, Regina Lynn Herring, 43, and Julie Ann Falzarano, 73, were shot to death on Friday.
The three women were found dead in a home on Airport Road in Berlin on Saturday, the morning after Jody Herring was witnessed shooting Sobel in the parking lot behind City Place, an office complex in Barre that houses the Vermont Department for Children and Families.
Tiffany Herring found the bodies at 8 a.m. and called 911.
The women were shot on Aug. 7, but the exact times of their deaths are unknown. The death certificates show that the three women were pronounced dead on Saturday, Aug. 8.
Regina Lynn Herring was shot twice in the torso and her death was โinstant” or within seconds according to Steven Shapiro, the chief medical examiner. Rhonda Jean Herring and Falzarano were each shot once in the torso and died within โseconds.โ
Falzarano was the mother of Regina Lynn Herring and Rhonda Jean Herring both of whom were raised in the home on Airport Road.
Both women were born to Julie Ann Boyce (Falzarano), and Francis Herring. Rhonda attended high school but did not receive a diploma, while Regina obtained a high school diploma, according to the death certificates. Neither woman was employed, nor did Regina or Rhonda marry, according to the death certificates.
Julie Ann Falzarano raised her kids in the house where she died. She was born to Lois and Henry Boyce in 1942. She has had the last names Boyce and Herring, but is listed as divorced. She worked in an administrative job in the banking industry, according to the death certificate.
All three women were cremated Tuesday.
On Monday, Jody Lynn Herring was arraigned for the alleged first-degree murder of Lara Sobel, who worked for 14 years as a social worker for the Department for Children and Families.
