WESTMINSTERยญ — Vermont State Police are investigating an apparent homicide that occurred just after midnight Sunday at the Shady Pine Mobile Home Park in Westminster.
According to a press release from the state police, troopers from the Rockingham barracks were dispatched to the residence of Christina Allcock, responding to a 911 call that someone had been stabbed.
Troopers arrived just before 1:30 a.m. to find a number of people at the residence and Michael Johnson, 37, of Bellows Falls, on the floor and unresponsive.
According to the press release, Johnson sustained a stab wound to the chest. Aid was rendered until emergency personnel arrived. Rescue Inc. subsequently pronounced Johnson dead.
The troopers encountered resistance at the scene when several people went outside to a vehicle and then refused to exit when asked by the troopers.
While the subjects in the vehicle were being removed by the troopers, Christina Allcock attempted to light on fire Detective Lt. Kraig Laporteโs jacket and punched him in the face, according to police.
She was subsequently charged with aggravated assault on a police officer and released on conditions. Laporte was treated by rescue on scene for minor injuries.
Michael Allcock 43, of Bellows Falls, was charged with impending police for refusing officers’ orders and attempting to enter the scene. He was cited and released.
State police are continuing the investigation.
The body of Michael Johnson will be sent to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for autopsy.
According to press releases from the Bellows Falls Police Department, in January 2013, Johnson was arrested and cited with burglary, aggravated assault and violating the conditions of his release.
Also in January 2013, Christina Allcock was arrested by state police for her alleged refusal to turn her daughter over to the Department for Children and Families. She was eventually cited with custodial interference and disturbing the peace.
