What: VTDigger Dialogue: Education Funding reform

VTDigger brings together lawmakers and experts on tax policy and asks them to propose solutions to the K-12 education affordability crisis in Vermont. Each speaker will be asked to tell the audience what they would do if they could wave a magic wand, so to speak, and reform the education funding system. This event is free an open to the public.ย  Please let us know if you can attend!

Panelists include:

  • Rep. David Sharpe, D-Bristol, ranking member of the House Ways and Means Committee, and a member of the House Speaker’s property tax reform working group
  • Rep. Adam Greshin, I-Warren, member of House Ways and Means Committee, partner in Summit Ventures Northeast
  • Rep. Oliver Olsen, I-Londonderry, former member of House Ways and Means Committee
  • Paul Cillo, former lawmaker and architect of Act 60 and founder of Public Assets Institute
  • Tom Pelham, former tax commissioner and founding member of the Campaign for Vermont
  • Sen. Dick McCormack, D-Windsor, chair of the Senate Education Committee.

There will be a cash bar. Please come to mingle starting at 5:30 p.m. The panel begins at 6 p.m. and ends at 7 p.m.
