The official portrait of Gov. Jim Douglas

Gov. Jim Douglas quipped that he’ll be able to keep an eye on his successor in the governor’s ceremonial office, thanks to a large realistic portrait of himself that will hang outside the door to the office. The hourlong celebration of Douglas 38 years in public service was capped with an unveiling of the portrait by Karen Gridley. The ceremony was held in the House Chamber.
