VTDigger’s calendar to feature legislative doings, public policy events

VTDigger’s calendar section will turn over a new leaf this year.

The events listed will only include public calendar items that are tied to VTDigger’s editorial mission, which is to cover public policy matters, state government, business, education, energy, the environment, health care and Vermont communities.

Instead of concerts, art openings and the like, you’ll see legislative and congressional hearings and schedules, the governor’s press conference, annual meetings of business and industry groups, key testimony in the Legislature, lectures on public affairs, Green Mountain Care Board meetings, protest rallies and so on.

Activists, legislators, state officials — any member of the public — can add a calendar item by going to this link http://vtdigger.wpengine.com/tipster/events/post-an-event/. VTDigger editors moderate the listings. We will be more than happy to approve events that are in keeping with our modus operandi.

The calendar has been available on VTDigger for about nine months. It is part of our Tipster project, funded by J-Lab.
