Alan Panebaker, our health care and energy reporter, is leaving on July 1 to take a new job.
We are immediately seeking someone to replace him.
The full-time job entails covering health care and energy issues. The reporter will manage daily and in-depth coverage of developments regarding the Shumlin administration’s single-payer health care initiative, trends in the health care industry, the environmental impacts of energy policy and projects, and developments in the energy industry. The reporter will also cover policy developments as they emerge from the governor’s office and from the four-month legislative session which runs from January to early May.
The right candidate will have a journalism degree and at least two to three years of experience covering Statehouse news, health care and/or energy issues for a daily news outlet. Commensurate experience as an investigative reporter would be most welcome.
The salary and benefits are competitive compared with other news outlets in Vermont.
If you are interested, please send your resume, references and three clips to Anne Galloway, firstname.lastname@example.org. We will be interviewing candidates in early July.
