Burlington, VT— Howard Center will host a job fair on Saturday, February 4, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the O’Brien Community Center in Winooski. Howard Center has a variety of positions available in several departments including facilities, school programs, residential, long-term supports and services, information management, crisis, and more. Visitors who attend the job fair will have the chance to talk with Howard Center’s experienced staff and learn first-hand about the organization’s rewarding career opportunities.
“Staff are one of our most valuable resources. We offer great benefits, training, health and dental insurance, 36 days of paid time off, sign-on bonuses for some positions, and a minimum of $20 per hour,” said Heather Simmons, Howard Center’s talent acquisition manager.
“We’ve had several successful job fairs so far, and we are looking forward to being back at the O’Brien Community Center to meet people who want to help make a difference in the lives of others and our community,” said Simmons.
Howard Center program staff and Talent Consultants will be on-hand to provide information about our current openings. Howard Center encourages job fair visitors to bring a copy of their resume, curriculum vitae (CV), or work experience summary. Kiosks will be provided for on-site applications. Free on-site parking is available, and refreshments will be provided.
Information will also be available about Howard Center’s Shared Living Provider program. Though they are not Howard Center employees, Shared Living Providers are contracted through Howard Center to provide housing and valuable support to adults with developmental disabilities served by the agency. There will be information for interested individuals and families to participate in this opportunity to connect with an individual client.
