“A 1st for the 4th: Vermont’s Covid Edition Fireworks Exhibition” (AKA, the “The Fireworks Show That Comes To You”)

Jun 29 2020, 10:32 AM

🡪In light of all the cancellations of municipal July 4th celebrations and related fireworks due to Covid-19, Green Mountain Fireworks’ goal is to bring a safe and exciting fireworks display into Vermont homes, as a means to reconcile hundreds of years of tradition and social/physical distancing.

🡪This professional-grade pyro-musical fireworks extravaganza will be live-streamed on 6/29/2020 at 9:20pm to computers and smart devices via  99.9 The Buzz and  98.9 WOKO, and the show will be re-broadcast on 7/4/200 at 9pm on:
WCAX Channel 3, https://www.facebook.com/greenmountainfireworkshttps://www.facebook.com/95triplex, and https://www.facebook.com/EAGLECOUNTRY975.  CHECK GMF’s Facebook page for updates re the live-streaming and re-broadcast of the display.)

The entire show will be 18.5 to 20 minutes in length, and is unlike anything ever done in Vermont. The grand finale begins with a birthday cake decorated with, “Happy 244th Birthday, America,” and has powerful messaging that connects Black Lives Matter with Independence Day.

Concurrent with providing the display, Green Mountain Fireworks is helping raise money for an Alburgh non-profit startup that will provide desperately needed childcare and afterschool programs to Alburgh.
