The state Department of Health reported nine new cases of Covid-19 on Friday. That brings the total number of people diagnosed with the illness in Vermont since the outbreak began in March to 1,144.
Testing sites are open throughout the state for anyone who is asymptomatic and wants a test. Testing sites can be found here: https://humanresources.vermont.gov/popups
Those who have symptoms should call their health care provider for testing.
There were no new deaths reported Friday, keeping the total number of people who have died from Covid-19 in Vermont at 56. There are two people hospitalized with Covid-19 and six hospitalized with suspected, but not confirmed, cases.
The state reported it has conducted 55,887 tests, an increase of 1,142 from yesterday.
