The Chamber of Commerce and St. Albans have announced they will postpone both Bay Day and the Great Race triathlon due to widespread concern about the continued spread of Covid-19 and in compliance with the governor’s executive orders. These events were originally scheduled for Saturday, June 27; a new date has not yet been decided.
The chamber hopes to hold the events later in the summer, after the threat of infection has passed, and the state government once again approves large gatherings of people in public spaces.
In a statement, the event organizers expressed their sadness at the cancelation of the two traditions and thanked participants for their understanding.
